The Man In Blue ~ Web Essentials ‘05
Published by ColourMod October 6th, 2005 in News, ColourModThe Man In Blue also known as Cameron Adams gave a presentation at Web Essentials ‘05 about Javascript and the DOM. I wish I could have been there to hear it (and to see Australia again). Instead I got to just read his presentation outline, which really never does a presentation justic.
While reading the outline, I was very pleased to see that ColourMod made it into one of his examples under the “Innovation” section of his presentation. Here’s what he had to say:
Some data cannot be easily modelled by text input – a normal user would have no idea what hex colour values were, so the method in which they choose a colour naturally relies upon visual choice, but how do you allow them to choose any of 16 million colours? ColourMod (see colour picker at top of right column)
Notice the correct way of spelling the word ‘colour’.

I’ve been meaning to ask you why you used the English spelling of the word. Is there a story there? Personal preference? Marketing gimmick?
Because the English are better
But, seriously… ColorMod.com was already taken so I used the alternate spelling.
