Coffee for a One Year Old
Published by ColourMod October 24th, 2005 in Teevio, KidsI’m a coffee addict, meaning I drink a lot of coffee. I think half my paycheck goes to coffee (oh wait, I mean the fed’s coffee). My daughter has picked up on this fact and decided that she would learn the word ‘coffee’. Of course, once she learned to say ‘coffee’ she proceeds to say it everytime I have a cup. She always tries to grab my cup from my hands and really wants to see what it tastes like. I personally don’t want to add to her perpetually energetic state for fear that she might start running around on the walls and ceiling. I also don’t want to try and sell our house with footprints on every surface.
But who can resist their own child, especially when they say ‘coffee’ really cute. I decide to give her a sip, hoping that she would hate the taste. I had no such luck. She loved the taste and started repeating ‘coffee’ more incessantly. Now what have I done? Time to start scrubbing the walls.
