License Clarification
Published by ColourMod November 2nd, 2005 in Plug-N-Play, ColourModI’ve had many questions concerning the license of the Plug-N-Play version of ColourMod. This has precipitated me writing a clarification post on what is allowed and what is not allowed in terms of ColourMod. Please append any questions or comments in the comments section so that others can benefit from the discussion.
Free Version
The free version of ColourMod prohibits you from making any modifications whatsoever to the graphics and prohibits you from selling it and/or distributing it in any application that you are selling for a profit.
You are allowed to modify the backend code to customize it for a particular task that isn’t supported as long as you leave all current credits in the code. In doing this though, you cannot redistribute it in its modified state unless it is bundled with a web-application that you will not be selling for profit. Once again the graphics can never be modified.
Unbranded/Personalized Version
The Free Version limitations apply to the Unbranded and Personalized Versions as well. You are only paying to remove the obvious branding or to add your own branding. This does not give you any extra rights in terms of the code or the graphics.
Other Versions
If you have a particular request that is beyond the scope of the current versions offered please contact me and let me know what you are thinking. I am always willing to work around your needs and desires and to come up with a solution for you.

Can you use the code (modified/unmodified) in another application as long as the credits remain untouched?
In other words, can the code be seperated from the images?
No, the code must stay integrated with the graphics.
