ColourMod :: Dynamic (DHTML) Color Picker

I’ve always marveled at the popularity of ColourMod. I really didn’t set out to make it what it has become. ColourMod was birthed out a personal need that I had for a colour picker. I realized that every colour picker that someone had created either sucked, or didn’t work in one of the major browsers. ColourMod was a breathe of fresh air in the colour picking world. With all that said ColourMod is going to redefine itself once more. No this isn’t another empty promise. The ColourMod team (ok really just me) is going to chain itself to its PowerBook for some intense work. The emergent result should be fantastic, unlike anything that has been done before (hopefully I can live up to my own crazy expectations).

Recently, a friend pointed me to the YUI Color Picker of which I said, “another ugly and slow one????” There are plenty of colour pickers, this is yet another one in the colour picker mess, er mix. My spirit for ColourMod has been renewed. I am sick of ugly, slow and impractical colour pickers. I’ve even started to think that ColourMod is a little slow, ugly and impractical. So the chains to my PowerBook are inevitable and necessary. I’ll see you on the other side of the week with hopefully something that blows your socks off.
